PRESENTATION OF THE 2025 BUDGET PROPOSAL TO THE GOMBE STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, officially presented the proposed 2025 budget to the Gombe State House of Assembly, signifying a critical step in the governance and development on reforms agenda of the state. The budget, valued at ₦320 billion, underscores the administration’s commitment to accelerating socio-economic growth and improving the living standards of citizens.
During the presentation, Governor Yahaya highlighted the key priorities of the 2025 fiscal year, emphasizing sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and agriculture. The proposed budget reflects a balanced approach aimed at consolidating previous achievements while addressing emerging challenges.
Lawmakers were present in full attendance, expressing keen interest in the detailed breakdown of the proposal. The Governor assured them of transparency and accountability in the implementation process, aligning with the state’s Development Agenda for Gombe State (DEVAGOM) and State Reforms Pillars of Institutional governance environment public finance management, socio-economic environment and civil service administrations reforms.
The presentation concluded with the Speaker of the House commending the Governor’s vision and reiterating the Assembly’s dedication to reviewing the budget promptly to ensure timely approval and execution.
